Really app
Child Safety Standards
Really is a dating app for adults, provided by Yuval Chen, an individual developer based in Israel. These standards explain how we prevent and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on Really. They are part of our Terms of Use.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Really strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in any form, including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any image, video or other content that shows or depicts a minor in a sexual way;
- grooming: trying to contact, befriend or meet a minor for sexual purposes;
- content or messages that sexualize minors in any way;
- sextortion, trafficking or any other exploitation of a minor;
- asking for, offering or sharing any of the above, or links to it.
Any of these gets the accounts involved banned permanently, and we report them to the authorities.
Adults only (18+)
Really is only for people aged 18 or over. Everyone enters their date of birth when they sign up, and the app doesn't let anyone under 18 create a profile. Profile photos must show the user, never children. If we learn that a user is under 18, we delete the account.
How to report
- In the app: tap Report on the person's profile card (app version 2.0 and later), or in a chat, open the menu and choose Report user. You can also write to us under Profile → Help Center.
- By email: support@real-y.io. You don't need a Really account to report.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first: call 100 in Israel, or your local emergency number. In Israel, you can also call the National Child Online Protection Center at 105.
Please don't download, screenshot or forward child sexual abuse material, even to report it. Tell us where you saw it, and we'll deal with it.
What we do with reports
- We review reports within 24 hours.
- When we find child sexual abuse or exploitation, we remove the content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- We keep the information the authorities need for an investigation, as the law requires or allows.
- We report it to the relevant authorities, including the Israel Police and the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline.
- We cooperate with law enforcement on child safety.
Compliance with the law
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to Really, including the laws of Israel and of the countries where Really is available, and we report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities as those laws require.
